I have a Rheem Criterion II. My furnace just recently started light and then immediately have the flame go out. It doesn't do it all the time, maybe 5-6 times then the thermostat sends a signal to the furnace. I have to turn off the thermostat so that it can cycle through until it stays lit. Any suggestions?

One possibility is a dirty flame sensor. Clean it and try again to see if it works correctly. I also do not understand turning off the thermostat so it will cycle until it satys lit but try the cleaning first. Naturally turn the power off to the furnace first before the work begins.

Thanks, HVAC. I wil try it.

When I turn the thermostat off & on, it seems like the burner will stay lit. But only after several attempts. Don't know if that is right thing to do, but seems to work.

Will let you know if cleaning the flame arrester works.

HVAC, I think cleaning the flame arrester did the trick. Thank you for the help.

Now, you know anything about the market?

Now, you know anything about the market?

Exactly what market do you speak of.

Sorry it's taken awhile. I was trying to get a stock tip on my investment, but at this point, it's not an investment.

Sorry it's taken awhile. I was trying to get a stock tip on my investment, but at this point, it's not an investment.

That has happened to many folks. I started to short in the box all my bank/S and L style stocks about a year ago. It paid off big time with most hitting the skids. Since I did not want to close out my positions I shorted my own stocks. I believe they will be back to normal in 2 to 3 years. I also bought Netflix since I figured with the money situation going south more people would be staying home entertaining themselves. UP 28% so far.

Now is the time to catch oil cheap since when it turns around we will see 150.00 in a heart beat. Good luck investing.
