furnace lights for about 1min and half then it shuts off before the blower kicks in

we just had this problem. It was the ignit er not working on our gas furnace.

Negative. If the igniter were bad then there would never be ignition in the first place. Try cleaning the flame sensor and see if that takes care of your problem.
