I have a gas hot water heater and when I awoke this AM no water came out of any hot water spicket in any sink in my house

Do you have any 2 handled fixtures, what comes out of that hot water faucet?

First of all, I would check the hot water heater and see if it is working. If it is, you should be able to tell if it is heating. If it is electric, I would check the power. If it is not, I would suspect the thermal couple, which is ofter a culprit. This happened to me recently and It was both the thermal couple and the gas valve; a double whammy. My solution was to by a new water heater. My GE profile series was only 5 years old; now I have a Rheem.

I don't refute flandan's advice but we need to do some detective work and there is a proper order of doing things. Try to answer my question from post#2
