hi.... my mother has been taking prenatal vitamins for about a month or two...she is not pregnant but her doctor said its a good vitamin to take..she is 44 or 45 years old...and as time went on with her taking them she stopped getting her period....and she has been gettin chest pains...she said its like a tighting feeling....she has been to the doctor for it her heart was ok i believe...and i know she is suppossed to go back for an ultrasound of the heart i think....do you think this could happen from the prenatal vitamins she is taking...or does maybe menopause cause this?? please let me know thanks...

This is not from the prenatals. At 44 I take them myself.

The periods stopping could be the beginning of menopause, but that would have nothing to do with the heart.

How is her blood pressure?

well we arent really sure yet if its her heart...she still getting test done...but her blood pressure is fine...i will ask her tomorrow just to make sure but i believe its fine...i thought that maybe it could be chest wall pain...and from the stress of her job...she works at a nursing home and she does alot of work there..but im not a doctor so im not sure..
