We have a Heil DC90 Ultra High Efficiency natural gas furnace. We had someone come out and service it, and he said everything seemed fine, although at first it seemed like it was overheating. He thought he'd taken care of it though by cleaning it. The problem remains, however, which is that it runs, shuts off briefly before reaching the right temp, then comes back on. When I say "shuts off", it is not actually all the way off, as you can hear something running still. This furnace has a water pump attached to it, I believe to get rid of the condensation? Anyway, we're wondering if something could be going on with the pump, like it's blocked, perhaps? TIA!

First call the company back that fixed it cause they did not do the job correctly and you paid good money so why just toss it away when they owe you.

I would check the thermostat heat anticipator setting first since the furnace is shuting off before the temp is reached. The condensate pump is supposed to run every once in awhile.

Thanks, we'll check into that.

Oddly enough, the repairman was supposed to send me a bill and he hasn't yet . . . this was a few weeks ago!
