Hi: I get banging in my steam heating system oil fired, when I checked it it seems like the water that builds in the system is not returning to the boiler. Water stays in the pipes when the boiler fires up about 30 minutes alot of banging!

Ever drain the boiler or add water conditioner? Are you performing regular blow-down of the float chamber?
