Hi: I found 2 dozen white 1/2 inch long inchworm like larva on my ceiling in my Tampa Bay Florida home. What are these things? How do I get rid of them .... will they harm me, home, or pets? Help?

These could be larvae from a moth associated with food in cupboards. It is warm on the ceiling so they lay their eggs there to incubate. I would check any cereal boxes for a web type design within the cereal which means you have these moths incubating in your cupboards.

They wont harm anything, you just have to go through your cupboards and eliminate any dry goods that look unusual and throw it out.

It has nothing to do with how clean you are. They can be introduced into the home by a package from a food store, etc.
