Hi.
I have a single handle kitchen sink with a spray nozzle beside it. The main faucet is barely letting water out, however the spray nozzle has full pressure. It's not leaking below. What could be the issue? where do I look first? thanks so much!

At the spout of the faucet, there is a screw-on screen unit.

Unscrew this fromt the spout and clean it out as it is probably clogged with residue and sediment.

You can buy new ones to replace it if necessary, but usually a good thorough cleaning is all that is required.

Hi asprague,

Remove the Aerator it is install at the tip of the spout, turn on the water you should have a full stream of water if good flow clean the screen at the Aerator and install it and you are done.
When the Aerator is removed and the flow of water is still week then you have problem with your faucet cartridge or debris inside, get back to us with the brand and the model Number of your faucet, see the image below for the Areator, to remove turn it clock wise, Good luck.

In my sink the diverter valve would not open properly!!
It made a musical tone that would change in pitch if you turned the handle.
I took the valve out and got lots of flow through the faucet but none through the sprayer.
I never use the sprayer anyway.

Hello Radsound welcome to the plumbing site,

You responded to almost a two years post and for no reason you disagreed and rated my post with the disagree, first of all it was a 2 years old post and secondly you should have not rated us, Thanks.
