I am using Acronis 9 Echo Workstation to boot to a USB hard drive. I have made the image of the flash drive and recovered it to the USB hard drive with the HP utility key maker. It will boot the hard drive, but it just stops after booting Acronis Loader... It just goes black and sits there. I tried it with and extened partition and with just leaving it blank. The partition has to be FAT because NTFS won't boot. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

From your post, I did not understand what you're trying to achieve, but here some things to start with:

Verify that you're using the latest build of your Acronis version available from their website. I've had to call Acronis to get development builds to get it to work with some of the latest hardware.
Select the safe mode option at the Acronis load menu and see if that is successful.
