I recently moved into a house that has a Carrier furnace (weather station I think) with a Performance Programmable Thermostat. I had a local heating company come out and look at it but they knew nothing about the thermostat. I got online and found an instruction book that allowed me to program it. Everything was working fine other than the hugh gas bill I got this month, until Saturday when the panel started blinking 'trouble'. I shut off the furnace and restarted it and it appeared to work. Since then it has happened at least once a day and yesterday mutiple times. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Your gas bills will be huge when you live in a house.

Since you did not provide the following it would be impossible to help since it would be all guess work.

Exact model number of furnace
Exact model number of thermostat and post your thermostat info here also.
How many blinks is the circuit board showing when the unit is not running.
