Hi, I am new in the US and am very much interested in making my bachelor degree with distance learning. I got counselling for the phoenix university which sounded great but is too expensive. I like the Ashford university, does someone know about Ashford university?does it matter in the states in which university you have studied or is it more important which degree you have or how much credits? Are distance learning degrees reconised later to get a job? I live in Virginia, are they reconised here?
Thank you cielbleu:o

If the school is accredited, it is recognized. Your degree is not going to say "distance learning program". I got a good chunk of my degree from distance learning while I was in the Army. No one has ever questioned the validity of it as it comes from an accredited university.

Be wary of where you go though. There are a lot of scams out there intending just to take your money. Do not accept their claims as legitimate. Verify their accreditation yourself.
