my furnace runs for ten minutes blows heat but shuts off before reaching desired temperature thermostat set for 72 and it is 60 degrees in my house. i turn the thermostat
off and then turn it back on and the heat cycles for ten minutes.

Have you changed your thermostat recently? By that i mean have you installed a new one.

no the thermostat is 2 yrs old

jump r and w at the furnace and see if it stays running untill you unjumper r and w. Let me know what you find.

A dirty return air filter, blower wheel and or evaporator coil can resrict the air flow and make your main limit open up on the furnace causing it to act the same way your talking about.

thanks, i washed out the filters on the electric cleaner i have on my furnace i will clean the blower wheel, but the evaporator coil im not familer with ?
