At the end of the current year, I reported 25 million in net income ans 405 million in retained earnings. THe last year I had 390 million in retained earnings. What is my total dividend paid to the shareholders during the most recent year?

First you need to figure out how much went into your retained earnings and it is the difference between the Retained earnings between the beginning and the end of the period.

Next deduct this amount from your Net Income and you will get the dividends paid.
