I have a trane weathertron with a heat pump. I would like to install my new hunter 44860 touch screen thermostat. the wiring is as follows:

Trane

Green=G
Orange=O
Black=x2
Yellow=y
Brown=T
Red=R
White=W
Blue=B

Hunter

Rc/R- 24vac pwr sply
C- 24VAC Common
Y1- Compressor stage 1
Y2- Compressor stage 2
W2- Aux heat
E- Emergency heat
O- Cool mode powered reverse valve
B- Heat mode powered reverse valve
G- Fan
L- System monitor

Thanks for your fast answer. I just returned it back to Lowes.
I went with a honeywell rth7500d. It was $30 more but the only honeywell I saw that said heat pumps also.

you will not regret the honeywell. the thirty dollars will last you a lifetime.
