Hello Hair experimentors!
I have an issue with mine. My natural hair color is dark brown. I went and used a department store bought Clairol red auburn color to cover up my roots and used it all over my hair. On the top I had allittle left over lighter hair coloring from a professional when she had dyed it a lighter red brown. Anyway it turned super bright red on top and ofcourse on my gray roots and the bottom a richer brown. What I really wanted was a very light brown with soft red tones. So I'm not sure what to do. I can't afford to go to a professional. I've read about using a mixure of Chamomile tea & lemon to lighten the hair 2 shades lighter and some previous blogs of the Dawn or Dandruff shampoo to lift the color out gradually. What would be the best thing for me to do? I really just want super light brown/lightest red hair that will also cover up my roots where its gray, not that rich bright red color on top, and the bottom just my dark brown with som red hilights in it that I created. Please anyone help! Should I go to Sally's Beauty Store and mix some bleach with a 30 Volume peroxide and then recolor it with a light red light brown color over it??
