symbiosis actually means the close ecological relationship of a living thing to another living thing.
Symbiosis has different types:
Predation-predator and prey
commensalism -there are no effects to one another
parasitism-a parasite gets all nutrients from a host
mutualism- both have benefits
competition- competing for something [prey]
With the mosquito, it's not a parasite, but it carries parasites.=]
