Last summer we had to buy a new AC. We got a Carrier Performance Series unit. The thermostat they installed was a Comfort Series 1-stage. We just had to buy a new furnace (Carrier Infinity 80 with 2-stage heat/variable blower). I am we are not getting the benefit of this furnace with the current thermostat. I would like to get a TSTATCCPRH01-B thermostat and would like to know if this would be easy to install myself or would I need a professional? Are there dip switches on the furnace board that would need to be changed?

Get a Carrier Infinity Thermostat and be done with it. 4 wires automatic configuring. The AC would have to be manually configured for size unless it's an ABCD bus unit. That's about it.

Fan speeds available will be low med and high.
An automatic filter test is run daily.
CFM of furnace fan is controlled to maintain static pressure.
Faults will appear as real words and no blinking lights.

The stats show up on ebay from time to time.
