The fan on my Coleman Evcon furnace, installed in 2003, does not work properly on automatic. It will shut off and not kick back on. I have to let the everything cool down for a while before the furnace with start working again. If I run the fan on "On" the furnace works but you can hear the fan kick off for a slit second and then on right away. This happens frequently. Is this a problem with the fan or something else? How do I diagnose what the problems is? And is this a DIY job or should I call a professional?

Thanks,

It could be a thermostat proibem or a unit problem. Sounds like a high limit or fan cycling control could be the problem also. If you do not know what you are doing call for ON SITE service.
