I just installed a outdoor woodburner and ran the water lines to a coil in my forced air oil burning furnace. What i need help with is this. I want to run a second thermostat to the furnace which will operate the blower only and leave the original thermostat hooked up as normal. What i want to do is set the old thermostat at a low temperature just as a backup and control the heat with the new thermostat running the blower only. The woodburner dealer told me i needed to have a 24 volt transformer to control the thermostat but never explaned to me how to hook-up the wiring to run the blower only. Thanks for any help
