Is there a way to find out if my federal amended taxes have been mailed out or when they were?

You can check status of your amended tax return after 8 weeks of filing. On the IRS site, click Where is my refund?

You have to wait 16 weeks before you can check on your amended taxes, which is has been. My taxes have been done, and they have the money for me, but they said it could take up to 6 weeks before it is mailed. I wanted to know if there was a way to find out if it has been mailed. I tried to find out after 8 weeks, and they had told me it takes 16 weeks.

The IRS takes its sweet time to mail out refunds for amended returns, so just be patient. There is no automated way to check on when it will be mailed.
