I am wondering if I can break my rental lease in Nevada due to my landlords lack of asbestos maintenence on my apartment. Do they have an obligation to inspect it on a regular basis? What situation would allow me to legally break my lease?

Check with your local Housing or building dept. They will advise if a landlord is required to do anything about any asbestos used in the building.

Where do you think there is asbestos in the apartment? Have you tested it, no one can tell by just looking at it.

Generally, asbestos is not used in living areas. But it may be used to protect pipes in basement etc.
