Hello,
I have to prepare journal entries for the following transactions. Can you please help. O am very new to this. I started on the first three but then became confuse with the rest.
May 3- Issued Capital stock in exchange for 800,000 cash.
Cash 800,000
Capital Stock 800,000
b. May 4- Paid May office rent expense of 1,000
Accounts Payable 1,000
Cash 1,000
c. May 5, Purchased office supplies for $400 cash. The supplies will last for several months.
Accounts Payable 400
Cash 400
d. May 15- Purchased office equipment for $8,000 entire amount is due 6/15.
Office equipment 8,000
A.P 8,000
e. Purchased a company car for $27,000. paid $7,000 cash and issued a note payable for the remaining amount owed.
f. May 20- Billed clients $32,000 on account.
g. May 26- declared a 5000 on a dividend. The entire amount will be distributed to shareholders on June 26.
h. May 29- Paid May Utilities of 200
i. May 30- Received 30,000 form clients billed on May 30.
j. May 31- Recorded and paid salary expense of 14,000
