:) Hi, I'm a 33 yo woman and I have quite a few issues right now with my menstral cycle. Sorry if it's a little lengthy.

I can have my period for at least 3 weeks. Stay off for a week or two and then it's back. I recently went to the clinic for my annual. (Yes I am one of those 42 Million/Billion people who don't have health insurance). After going for my annual, she referred me to a general womans doctor to run some tests. Come to find out, she is at least 80% sure I have PCO. Polycystic Ovaries. We are waiting for my testerone levels to come back. In the mean time I am to take Provera to stop my period. So to back up a little, I started my period July 9th, and it ended August 12th. I went 3 whole days with nothing then the spotting started again. Then I was full force from Aug 21st to Sept 4th. I took my first dose of Provera. I am to take it for 10 days then stop. So I did that, and I started my period again on Sept. 19th the first few days were ok. But now, omg, I am bleeding through 4 super tampons and pads within a 4 hr time frame. I can't take my provera until October 9th. But what am I to do in the meantime. I can't call my "doctor" because she only comes to the clinic once a mth and I'm not due to see her until Dec. 4th. But let me tell you, I can't take much more of this bleeding. I'm trying to have a child and I know birth control pills will regulate me, but it totally defeats what I am trying to do.

Any suggestions on what I can do in the meantime? Am I alone with this or are there other women like me?
