I hope you can help. I'm on the Yasmin pill and have been for about 2 years now, but for the past 3 months been experiencing a period in between my regular periods. Most of the time it's about 2 weeks after my regular one, some days it's dark brown, others it's light red. The bloodflow is heavy and lasts for anything in between 2 and 5 days

I also experience very painful periods, and have some pain during intercourse, could this be endometriosis? My mother has it so wondering if it's passed down? I have been to see a doctor about it before but she said it was probably not endometriosis and it would more than likely calm down by itself in time (which it hasn't) I'm afraid if I go back she will just say the same thing again. Woud that also explain the bleeding?
