I've been TTC for 2 months now. I started spotting dark brown about 5 days before my usual period day. Once I wiped a tad bit of pinkish. Later, I thought I had started my period 2 days early (even though my period can be irregular). It was bright red when I wiped so I put a tampon in, and hrs later the tampon was unusally dry. I was dry for the next several hrs, then it happened again. It seems as if I'm bleeding bright red in spurts maybe every 6 hrs but only spotting until I wipe. I wouldn't hardly know I was bleeding until I urinate and wipe. I'm now past my expected period date with this weirdness going on. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms unless it's fatigue, but that can be easily mistaken. Today is the 30 days of my cycle. What could this be? My period has never been this weird. I did take a HPT and it was neg., but it was also before my expected period.

maybe this is obvious and I'm just too tired to realize but what's TTC?

hmm...this is kinda hard to say whether its just spotting or maybe an incredibly light period. but im leaning a lil more towards spotting. in any case, if its that light, i wouldn't recommend using tampons for it. i'd suggest a pantiliner. they make the regular thin pad shaped ones or they even have ones for thongs. i've heard its not good to use tampons when you're not bleeding very much, like when its coming out so dry.

sometimes i've had spotting like that in the weeks just before my period, but that was when i switched bc pills, and idk what else causes it.

TTC means Trying to Conceive

ohhh. ok. now that you're past your expected period i would take another test.
