My old fan motor has brown wire, black wire, green wire, and a yellow wire. Th new motor has 2 brown wires (one with a strip) black wire, white wires. i am lost

First look at the motor diagram. One is attached permanent to every motor. It is located on the side. Both browns to the NEW capacitor you bought with the new motor!!!

The black and the white goes to the 240 Volt power on the contactor.

Please read your wiring diagram to confirm. There could be differences.

read and follow the instructions on the side of the new motor,,,also make sure you get a new capiciter that matches the new motor
