my heating timer turns itself on and off sometimes stays off for a couple of days then comes on again, a pain cause every time i have to reset the day and clock. It happened with my old timer and i replaced it to a new one but does the same thing, do you know any answers.

What's a heating timer? Are you talking about a programmable thermostat or some other device?
