You can call Family and Children Services or Children's Aid. If you are being abused you should contact the police.

If you are bieing abused, then contact the department of Children's abnd Family Services. Or talk to a teacher or counselor at school.

Kerri I know that you must be frightened and that all the advise we could give you here is very hard to follow up on when you are frightened. No matter what the excuse or reasoning, it is not OK to be hit by ANYONE. Even if they make you feel like it is your fault, IT IS NOT! If you have a best friend, go to them. Go to a family member, if you do not trust in that, go to your school counselor, go to a teacher. Too bad there is not much detail here. This could be a simple case of her getting a spanking to worst case she is being sexually abused. No matter what, if she calls adult and family services or what ever her state calls it, she will then be "in the system" and as such a case worker will take control of the situation and if this is something like simply a spanking, then she or her parents will no longer have much to say about her life. Being placed in foster care is better than the alternative for many children, but it is not the ideal situation to have the state dictating your life if this is a minor situation. Bottom line is that she needs to give enough details about this abuse so that the community can make accurate suggestions.
