ok so i went to costa rica for a month where i did hard labor and lost 11 lbs, when i came back i gained 7 back, can this kind of traveling and such make my period late or even missed?

Any kind of stressful situation can make your period late. Even gaining or loosing weight in a short amount of time. It's hard to say though without more information.
