My neighbor owns her own home. Her idiot son in 19 and parties with his friends there while she works two jobs. He has been living there about 2 months. Anyway she can throw him out without serving an eviction notice?

Afraid not.

Really? He hasn't paid rent, is underage and drinks and invites other underage people to drink in her house. He and his friends cause quite a disturbance when they start up. We live in California if that makes a difference.

The law has a legal process by which tenants have to be evicted - otherwise no one would be "safe" from eviction without notice.

I am not familiar with California law but someone will be along soon to explain it.

Sometimes I just scratch my head.

Two people gave you an honest answer.

No one came in and disagreed.

But you would prefer to have a different answer.

Sorry, the answer is still the same.

It needs to be done legally.

If she wants to do it otherwise, she certainly can.

Truth is, I probably would do it otherwise, I have several baseball bats, and several large handguns and shotguns, but that does not make it the correct or legal way to handle the situation.

Okay, thanks.
