ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 08:52 AM is it cryonic based on science or parascience ? Dark but not Heartless Jul 12, 2008, 09:02 AM I think it's real, but they don't freeze entire bodies, just certain organs and fluids tickle Jul 12, 2008, 09:04 AM Cryonics is actually based on human science, although there are some detractors naturally. In order for you to read the theory yourself, visit this website: Cryonics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryonics) ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 09:14 AM why them main stream science dont use it in the hospitals ? tickle Jul 12, 2008, 09:25 AM why them main stream science dont use it in the hospitals ? First of all, permission has to be given by the person before hand and the procedure costs thousands of dollars. A hospital just cant go ahead and use this procedure and I think there is only one lab in Arizona that handles cryogenics and thats where Walt Disney body is kept. If you read the article in wikipedia you will see that the procedure is not entirely proven to work yet. To answer you first question, there is nothing 'para' about it. ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 09:47 AM there are tree company : Cryonics: Alcor Life Extension Foundation (http://www.alcor.org) The Cryonics Institute Home Page (http://www.cryonics.org) ÊðèîÐóñ - Êðèîíèêà â Ðîññèè (http://www.kriorus.ru) and by the way according to this article disney is not there !!! tickle Jul 12, 2008, 10:18 AM and by the way according to this article disney is not there !!! Could be he broke into little pieces and just disappeared. Was that in the greek article, I dont read greek. It didnt say in other two. Well, now I guess you know as much as anyone regarding cryogenic. You managed to 'dig up' ( a little play on words) a lot yourself !! ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 10:29 AM The popular urban legend that Walt Disney was cryopreserved is false; he was cremated, and interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Cryonics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryonics) read firs the english version of the page ! tickle Jul 12, 2008, 10:53 AM That's great, ravana, glad you found that out ! But, coming from the time when Walt Disney passed away, it was reported in the news papers that he had paid for cryogenic preservation. So, I dont know, whatever. I think its great that he wanted this done and had hoped that some day it would be a possibility to cure his illness, I think it was cancer, not sure. At the time there was a lot of family argument that they wanted a traditional interrment for him. Maybe his family won the argument. Maybe some people lump it all in with the aliens in Rosswell. N0help4u Jul 12, 2008, 11:00 AM Yeah I remember when he died No cryonic's I know there is somebody famous that was froze I think to do with sports announcing or something and he is suppose to have been one of the most intelligent people of our time. N0help4u Jul 12, 2008, 11:03 AM I found it A Famous Hitter is Frozen in Time Since his death in 2002, baseball legend Ted Williams has been stored in a 10-foot-tall, stainless steel container at Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Arizona, the world's largest cryonics facility. His head is reportedly being stored in a separate container. But the story doesn't end there. After his death, the famous slugger became embroiled in a rather bizarre custody battle. His daughter, Bobby-Jo Williams Ferrell, fought in court to get her father's body back so that she could have him cremated and his ashes sprinkled over the Florida Keys, which she claims was his wish. She accused her half-brother John-Henry Williams of wanting to preserve their father's body so that he could cash in on his famous DNA. But John Henry and his sister Claudia said they had signed a pact with their father in 2000 promising to have all of their remains frozen. The three siblings finally reached a settlement: Ted Williams was allowed to stay where he was, and John-Henry promised not to sell any of his father's DNA. CRYONICS − FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) (http://www.benbest.com/cryonics/CryoFAQ.html) EDIT::Sorry Ravana, I see you have already linked to this same site. I found another interesting article. - Suspending Life: The Science of Cryonics (http://www.firstscience.com/home/articles/humans/suspending-life-the-science-of-cryonics_14148.html) ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 11:16 AM The most famous cryopreserved patient is baseball player Ted Williams. Cryonics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryonics) if everything go well one day i will be freezed . but i dont know where to put my money that it will wait for me . Unknown008 Jul 12, 2008, 11:26 AM Bury it somewhere you think as safe! Or give it to someone you can trust in a coffin but you keep the key. You ask him/her to pass your coffin to their generations and when you come out again, you take your money!:D ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 11:30 AM well i would like to get some interest rate . i dont know about usa but here in europe interest rate in banks is equal to inflation or lover . i would like to be rich when they revive me . Unknown008 Jul 12, 2008, 11:32 AM I think that anyone would wish so. But, i a bank, (like if you give it to someone), its really difficult that you reobtain your money. Better buy something really expensive and sell it after your revival! Maybe it would be also an antique! :D N0help4u Jul 12, 2008, 11:41 AM I have a feeling by the time you 'get out' money will be worth as much as this bill is right now! Unknown008 Jul 12, 2008, 11:48 AM That's why, a more valuable object is needed. Perhaps gold, no too heavy... precious stones! Hope you done get robbed in your frozen sleep! :D ravana2 Jul 12, 2008, 12:03 PM maybe a few barrels of oil in my cryostat ? if the prices continuous to get sky rocketed i will be next bill gates .
