Ok my doctor told me that i had strep throat and i was put on Z-Pac and then i went to the down there doctor and she told me i had a liquid filled cyst so she prescribed me Metronidazol and doxycycl on top of my antibiotic that i was taking for strep throat. well now my vagina is really sensitive and it hurts to clean myself after i pee and there is a tiny bit of blood when i clean myself as well. What could be causing this? and yes i know i need to talk to my doctor im talking to her tomorrow about it i was just wanting to know now what may be happening.:confused:

With all the antibiotics I am thinking you might have a yeast infection??? As for the blood maybe the cyst has broken?

Metrondazol is usually for Trichonomisis (vaginitus), did you have two different MD's prescribing you at the same time? The Z-pac, Metro, and Doxycycl easily can cause you a yeast infection singly, taking all three at once I imagine you have a horrible yeast infection.

Ask the Doctor tomorow for yeast infection CAPSULES that you swallow (3 of them) and try a douche made with plain yogurt 1 Tablespoon to 6 ounces of water. do that for 3 days also. If it is not gone (and for your comfort I sure hope it is) go back.

Yeast infections caused by antibiotics are in my opinion, the worst kind. Very hard to get the flora and fauna back in equilibrium.

Please check your sources again. Metronidazole is a topical antiinfective that is used for skin infections, minor burns, woulds, skin grafts, etc.

As for the OP, it does sound as though you may have a yeast infection caused by the two other medications and the metronidazole is not quite strong enough to work. Your doctor can give you a one time pill called Diflucan that can cure this up in 24 hours.

However, please understand that I am not diagnosing you and you will have to make an appointment with your "down there" doctor for a proper diagnosis and proper treatment.
