I had a baby by c-section 5 months ago and i still haven't gotten my period. I'm not breastfeeding so that isn't why. Is this normal or should i be seeing my doctor?? It's fantastic not having it but i want to know if something's wrong.

Have you been sexually active? Have you used protection?

It can take a while for periods to return, and every woman is individual in that area.

i agree with J_9 as always.

just for additional info, my wife didnt have a period for nearly 10 months after my son was born.

are you breastfeeding? prolactin can suppress periods in some, but not all, women who breastfeed.

and remember, just because you arent having regular cycles doesnt mean you cannot get pregnant. if you dont want another pregnancy, use protection.
