ok i made a post on here a couple of days ago and here are my symptoms: my stomach has become very large and hard...i look 7 or 8 months pregnant btw im not! i have had rectal bleeeeding it off and on...whenever i have mexican food i have to potty like bad and when i cant go anymore i feel like i still need to go but i cant really get anything else out (might be an over share)...umm i have headaches like crazy when i go to sleep they are there when i wake up they are there!! i dont know i am really worried because my grandmother had colon cancer and its been in my family and it normally skips generations...is that what it might be?

Have you been to your doctor and checked? I know someone who had similar symptoms and her malady was a hernia; and the repair has been successful. Get going tomorrow morning, and good luck!

It can be all sorts of things, and you can worry and guess at a 100 things, Go to the doctor, find out what it is, and get proper treatment.

You went to the doctor about it already, didn't you? Go to a different doctor and get a second opinion and more tests done. If there is blood in your stool, that should be checked out.

I have Ulcerative Colitis,it's a form of Inflammatory bowel disease. When I was first going through symptoms,my first reaction was Colon Cancer. Turned out it wasnt that,but the other. See a Dr,get referred to a Gastroenterologist(GI).

the headaches doesn't worry me as much as rectal bleeding, but as many people said above, rectal bleeding doesn't immediately mean colon cancer. It could mean a million things. go get it checked.

ok so i had a pap test done and it took over a week to get the results back anyway i have HPV and abnormal cells!! colon cancer and cervical cancer runs in my family...the doctor said since im so young (under 21) that i dont have to come back for a year to get another pap test but im sayin eff her ill get a new doctor bc she really isnt one! (i have medcaide and i had to go to planned parenthood) so ill go to a general doctor...yall keep me in your prayers!

Yeah honey...if your having rectal bleeding,in your bowel movements...I dont think a pap would show anything. Wise move going to your general Dr...He'll get this figured out for you. Just be sure to tell him/her exactly your symptoms(even if it seems minor)..dont be embarrassed of anything...they have heard it all! Honestly,it could be a hemmroid or anything...just have it checked,for sure given family history especially.
