I just missed my period 4 days ago and didn't have any signs of pregnancy yet, but I took a home pregnancy test and determined that it was negative. My period always on time and this time it's not. During the 4th day of my missed period, I have a little bleeding which you called implantation bleeding, but i wasn't sure. Could you help me? thankx.

Give it another week and see if your period is just off this cycle. Try another test at that time if it still doesn't show. If the slight bleeding you had was due to implantation, which doesn't happen for everyone, waiting the week before testing will give you a more accurate result. If still no period, and test is negative, you may be skipping this month for a period, happens once in awhile. See what happens next month, and test accordingly or see your doctor for testing there.

Well if your period comes in 4 days late, it still doesn't mean that you are pregnant right? Because this is the first time it comes in late.

your cycle can be off for many reasons, including, but not limited to pregnancy. read the sticky notes in this section.

doula is right on as always... nothing but time and tests can tell you the answer. period. a negative might be due to your not being pregnant or a lack of detectable hormones if you are. return of a period can be due to a pregnancy that didnt take or just the reestablishment of your normal cycle that skipped a beat.

because you have been normal before doesnt mean you always will be.
