I recently upgraded to mac osx 10.5.2 since doing this my adobe pdf printer has vanished, I upgraded Acrobat to 6.0.2 and have tried to re install using all the methods I have found on forums but still no joy. I'm apprehensive about deleting anything as the instructions given refer to operations that I am not familiar with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think there are problems with the distiller with Acrobat 6.x and 10.5.2. You could check & see if upgrading to a newer version of Acrobat would fix it ... But printing to PDFs is built into the OS, so you might want to consider whether you really need the PDF distiller functionality.
