I am a 28 year old female with 2 children. Recently my husband and i have been having sexual intercourse and i begin to bleed during and after. i went to 2 doctors and they told me nothing is wrong with me, ( as in all test are normal). I expected my period on the 13th as usual and the week prior I was having light bleeding spotting. Then on the 11th I assumed i was having a period i became tense and cranky and cramps. (my usual period symptoms) then the light blood stopped the next day no blood and then at night it came down but (:confused: ) it was weird I felt a gush and looked down and saw drops on the floor and on my leg.:eek: When i looked at it it was bright red as if you have a cut and you bleed from your capillaries nothing like the dark red and thickness of a period. I had a tampon on at the time I changed and the next morning it was gone. :confused: I had dried blood on my tampon. Well now the next morning a small trace of blood again bright red almost pinkish. Well now i am going crazy I have no idea what is wrong. Needless to say the whole day no period no bleeding. That night i engaged in sexual intercourse with my husband 9 and yes we are trying to conceive) As we began all was normal at the end (BAMMMMMMMMMM) there was blood :mad: Now you know I am disgusted embarrassed and upset. What is gong on? I took a pregnancy test and it is negative. So then i ask this what is wrong with me?

I am certainly no specialist in female medicine, but if this were going on with my wife, one of us would be calling an M.D.

Is there some reason, lack of insurance, in a new area and don't know whom to call, or your own personal fear, that explains why you have not already done this?

Are you still near the OB/GYN or group who treated you during your previous pregnancies and deliveries?

I have seen 2 gyns and just called my latest one and they told me it nothing since my tests are negative i have an appointment set up soon but want some advice.

In my opinion, it is not "nothing" since you are alarmed about it and it is unlike what happens with your periods.

When I nick myself shaving, it might be "nothing" in the sense of not being a serious matter, but it is not "nothing" in the sense of having no explanation. In that sense, the explanation would be simple. I opened a blood vessel with my razor.

I would want an explanation as to the source of all these symptoms and an explanation as to why it is nothing in terms of nothing to be alarmed about. Sometimes a little information can go a long way in taking care of our anxiety. In my opinion, thorough healthcare includes a little patient education along the way. This is apparently the opinion of lots of healthcare professionals also, because many take care to help their patients understand what is going on.

Again, if this were my wife, we might be looking for a third opinion--OR we might be doubling back and asking for more info.

What tests did they do? Did they mention what sorts of possibilities they were ruling out? Any pain during or after the intercourse?

There is no pain after intercourse at all. During though there is some pain when its to deep but nothing after. They ran test for std's and for cancer and polyps. He viewed my cervix and said it looks fine. They ruled out all std's and cancer. They said he could have hurt my cervix as in hit it too hard to make it bleed and recommened that I should have gentler sex with him. I aam confused prior to this I never experienced this I am also thinking that maybe it has to do with the 60 pounds I lost over the last 6 months. Could that have any affect on me.

MAybe you should get on birth control pills for a month or so to regulate your cycle, then get off them and try to get pregnant again. It worked for me when I would have irregular bleeding and I got pregnant right away when I stopped taking them.

That's a thought except that I came off of para guard in july.
