When one is trying to cool down a room with an air conditioner (not central!) is it better to run ceiling, floor and table fans or is it better for the air conditioner to work alone? I don't want to waste electric if it isn't helping me to cool the room!:p

running a fan of any type circulates the air in that room,,,if cool air or hot,,,,a window or wall unit a/c pulls in the room air ,cools it and blows it back into room,if its a large room the fan could be of some help, but probably a waist in a smaller room
