I enjoyed the post about the condenser fan motor, it answered my questions about my AO Smith motor wiring. My question is, my old motor was 840 rpm, and .9 amps, and the new motor is 825 rpm and 1.1 amps. This is the only compatible match. Are these differences going to matter in the operation of my heat pump? The company rep said it would not, but I want to check a second opinion. Also, the new shaft is 2 1/2 inches longer, will that length overwork the motor? Thanks.

thats point 2 amps differance ,,the differance won`t hurt you,,,,if it would make you feel better cut the extra shaft off,,,but it won`t hurt nothing either,,,,the rpm`s and direction of rotation is what matters the most,,,,,just make sure you add a new capictor that matches the motor
