Hi, We have a carrier system and our old condenser motor burned up, so we went and bought a new one with a new capacitor and it is now overheating and shutting off after a couple of hours. we shut the system down and turn it back on after it cools off and it works fine again for a while. this is our first experience with a central AC and we are so confused! I'm not sure if we wired the capacitor right, can anyone please help! Thank You!

if it shut down after a couple of hours the wiring should be OK

Did you get the correct speed motor if adjustable?

Did you get the correct MFD capacitor for the motor?

Is the motor turning in the correct rotation?
