I am building new house. I will need a 5 ton unit(2650sf x 9ft walls. I am doing all the wiring in the house. I not sure what I need for the air unit as for wiring. I will have to run over 65 feet of wire. I will be putting in a split unit. I don't have the unit purchase. I am doing wiring so I can get past a inspection. The questions I have; 1) Do i have to have two 3 wire Romax feeds runs of wire (one to the inside blower unit and another home run to the outside unit)? I will be running alumium and what size do I need for each run if needed? And when I wire it to the home control panel do I just run it from the bottom of the power supply with power connection nuts or am I required to have breaker(s) in the home power box and a disconnect at the inside and outside unit?
