How can I connect the outlet pipe from a turbine pump in a lake intake to the transport pipe lying on the lake bottom? The pumps have to be set at a 45 degree angle to reduce wear on the bearings and the transport pipe is more or less flat. The discharge end of the pumps will be sitting up in the air and will need to connect to the pipe 4 or 5 feet below on the lake bed. I could use a riser with some fittings but am worried about the thrust force on the fittings. The pipe is HDPE so will have some bend, but I do not want the pipe floating around in the lake currents.
