Hi i'm due to have a polyp removed under general anaesthetic because of heavy periods. It has been suggested i have a Mirena coil fitted at the same time just in case it's not the polyp causing the heavy periods. Don't know whether to wait to have mirena fitted later on. Also is it true you can put weight on with the Mirena? looking forward to some helpfull answers
