I have a craftsman Kohler command 14.5ohv Ride on mower model# 917252540 serial# 0522958 007309. It just died one day when I finished mowing. When I turn the ignition key nothing happens it will not crank the engine if I listen very closely I do hear a very tiny sound like a click coming from near the carb. I have tried replacing the ignition switch and solenoid, and still the same response. When I turn the ignition I do get about 12volts on the white wire attached to the solenoid. But no cranking, if I jumper the two large terminals on the solenoid it starts to crank the engine. I have located the seat emergency switch and I jumpered that, I also think I found the clutch/brake switch it have a 4 wire Terminal two black wires and two white wires. I assume I jumper the same color wires (I haven't Yet)to bypass the switch. If you could provide me with some guidance or maybe how, and what to test next. I've been reading previous posts and this seems like a common problem on these mowers. By the way I'm using a jumper pack attached to the battery if you were wondering about battery integrity.
