Well, about three months ago i started taking birth control pills, but for acne reasons...they are called ortho tricyclen. I used to bleed for only 4-5 days...and i heard that birth control would actually lighten or shorten periods...but now i bleed clear up to 5-6 days. For the most part i wanted the pills to help out with acne, and so far they have...but i also was hoping to get shorter or lighter periods. Is it the type of bc i'm taking or could it just be my own little reaction to them?
By the way just to mention it...for the last half-year i have sometimes up to 5 days prior to my period in which i get sudden pains at each side of my lower tummy, throughout the day. And was just wondering what it might be, if anyone has got an idea.
