A mistake was done on my husband and I's taxes this year. My daughter was never claimed. How do I fix this so she is added as a dependent?

All you need do is file an Amended 1040. You can get the form from the IRS at their website.

Yes, you need to file amended tax return form 1040X.

When you do the amendment, make surre you claim the $1,000 Child Tax Credit.
