I recently stopped taking birth control pills and am now currently three weeks late with my period. I have taken several pregnancy tests..all came up negative. I spoke with the nurse at my doctor's office and she told me to wait two more weeks and then take another pregnancy test..if this one is negative the doctor will induce my period. My question is: Is it still possible that I am pregnant? Will the doctor do a blood test before inducing my period?

Make sure and ask your doctor to do a test so that your mind is at ease. It is very common to not get your period for a while after you stop taking birth control.
