What would be some of the key issues a business or an individual would come upon in deciding to sell items to users via the internet?

Here are some that come to mind:

* What demographic are you trying to reach: age, location, income, etc.?
* How are you going to reach them?
* Do you have a compelling story that will grab your site visitor immediately?
* Do you have the technical skills to develop your site & market online?
* If not, where are you going to get the support to develop & market it?
* Do you have the capital to get it going or do you need to bootstrap?
* How are you going to distribute your product/service & collect payment?
* Do you have a business plan?
