This morning I woke up to a cold house, the furnace was blowing away and only blowing cold air. I checked the thermostat and the heat was set at 72 but the house was still at 66 degrees. I cycled the furnace on and off but still there was only cold air blowing from it. When I last checked before I went to work, the LED on the cover was blinking constantly but I don't know what that means. I don't want to get a HVAC Technician to come out and tell me that I need to restart my pilot light if that is the only problem and then charge me $100 for the visit. Are there any checks that someone can offer me so that I can restart the heat in the furnace myself?

HVAC technician came out to the house today and said it was an ignitor switch that went bad in the furnace. It was a $122 cost to replace the ignitor switch.
