Hi,

I am currently on F1 visa. Last year I did my summer internship in NJ but went to school in Texas.
The box 16 and 17 of W2 sent by the company in NJ, are blank instead what I earned during summer appears in the box 18 and the tax withheld in box 19. Is this correct or is it a mistake by my employer.
Please someone could help me soon.

Thanks

It is probably a mistake. Boxes 18 and 19 are for LOCAL income taxes.

I know NJ has a state income tax for which you are liable given the circumstances you described.
